RubyEclipse - or Castor as he was known in a past life - was introduced to the world of gaming back when Sonic was the epitome of speed and the Sega Genesis was king. To this day, he still blames (or thanks) the blue-spined mascot for the subsequent loss of so many weeks of free time, following which became an interest in everything video games.

In 2001 he picked up a copy of Phantasy Star Online for the Sega Dreamcast (Though he won't ever admit he bought it mostly for the SA2 Demo), and was hooked the moment he stepped into the online world. Since then he's followed the series onto Gamecube, PC, Xbox and afterwards into Phantasy Star Universe.

After half a year of official work on PSU, he joined the newly formed community team and worked on a number of SEGA products.

In 2010, his old desk was turned into Green Hill Zone by his co-workers while he was on vacation in Europe. Rumor has it the level will stay up for all of time, while he has moved just next door to it.

In May of 2011, his three year adventure with the Community Team finally came to a close, and he moved on to new challenges as an Associate Brand Manager for Sonic the Hedgehog and a few other SEGA titles. He appreciates and will always remember the great times had here on the blogs, in the forums, and simply being a part of the community at large - something that will always remain, regardless of job title.
