It’s that time of the month again. SEGA knows what it’s got up its sleeves in terms of back catalogue and it’s not afraid to use it.

This month it’s a sequel bonanza (not Bonanza Bros., we’ve already released that one to the Virtual Console. Keep up). We have Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Ecco: The Tides of Time and Golden Axe 2, all for a paltry 800 Wii Points each.

Sonic 2, of course, is famous not just for being brilliant, but also because it marked the first appearance of the Blue Blur’s now inseparable sidekick, Miles ‘Tails’ Prower. Ecco: The Tides of Time sees the reappearance of SEGA’s dolphin hero, continuing his battle against the alien Vortex Queen, while Golden Axe 2 offers up more (and even better, I think) classic sidescrolling hack ‘n’ slash action.
