Hello Sega, Your best games was on your own consoles. Ok there was JSRF and VF 4 but you should off ported them to the Dreamcast! Well my next money will be going on a completed version off the Shenmue saga with all 16 chapters uncut. There loads off ‘beta’ screens about that caught my eye was Ryo running around some village. Justed wondering will you release the footage, you might as well seeing as you gave us the Shenmue Saturn video!!

NiGHTS got me very excited when it was announced, when I was a kid I loved that game as a child. I also loved the Shenmue seies, it stuck with me fo years and to this date remains my favourite game. I am getting older though, I dont know how much longer I can wait before I start giving up on games completlety.

I just downloaded some VF 5(360), Tekken 6(PS3)
& Soul Calibur IV(PS3, 360) images to compare the graphics

VF5 is a head of them! it’s really better, really better, really better…
People at SEGA-AM2 are legendary developers.
I like Tekken and SC too but VF is the best for me,
Virtua Fighter5=real game play+ realistic graphics+more

I really expect from 360 owners to support VF5,they really need this game.
many of them haven’t played any fighting game on 360 since DOA4.
VF5 is even better than DOA4!again in terms of game play and graphics.

SEGA You broke my heart by suppressing such a brilliant franchise and leaving it to rot on consoles that couldn’t drive the sales it deserved. I cried when I finished shenmue II (No i’m not joking) because the story was so brilliant yet it was just the beggining. And iv’e never cried at a game, such beautiful music and everyting in one place. Please SEGA make me cry again I loved that feeling. I honestly would buy any console just for this game. At the very least please re-aquaint us with a next gen revamp of the other two.

These games all look cool, and I can’t wait for NiGHTS. The NiGHTS pad for the Saturn is still my favorite controller of all time.

My only disappointment is no Shenmue 3. When will Ryu Hazuki get to meet Lan Di and avenge his father’s death? Ever since “that day” I’ve needed revenge, and I just haven’t found any yet. Please Sega, let me fight Lan Di! If you can’t make a Shenmue 3, put he and Ryu as characters in VF5 and let me fight him that way.

I beg of you. Make a dedicated Shenmue machine and I’ll buy it. I will sacrifice my first born. I will do whatever Sega asks, just give me Shenmue 3 so I can finally confront Lan Di!

Honestly Sega, I think I’m quite impressed by Nights II. I’ll defiantly be getting that game on release. I really wanted the first game as a child but never got it because I didn’t have a Saturn. Come to think of it… there was another game I really wanted to get but was never able to… Shenmue III! Seriously Sega it is time to listen to your fans. We really want this game. I am so committed to this series; I will buy whatever console you choose to release it on. Shenmue is the evolution of gaming. Everywhere I look on the internet I find people who have played the first ones and are disappointed that the 3rd one never came. We really like this game, and I think that this thread is a good example of what Sega fans really do want. Also Alex it would be really nice if you could mention this Shenmue craze thing to someone in Sega who has something to do with Shenmue. Growing up an English kid in Japan, it was hard. I had one parent and we were stranded in a foreign country. SEGA however, saved my life…

Since the Mark III, SEGA consoles, games, and other products have been regularly purchased and worshipped in our family (okay, between me and my brother). As a child, Sonic was my hero, and SEGA were my team. You never let us down, not even with the Saturn. I actually remember studying the moves of Akira & Kage-Maru from Virtua Fighter, and developed my own martial arts style. SEGA has influenced me throughout my whole life.

You see, none of my family spoke the language of the country we were in, but we DID know how to push a button, so videogames helped us get through the difficult time. After a few years, we left the country we began to call home, but took a piece of it with us. It’s wierdly accurate how your original name rings true to my life - your GAmes SErviced us in a way we never thought possible. There was just one game in particular though that, although I’m sure you’re sick of hearing about, I never had the pleasure of completing.

Shenmue was a game that I literally fell in love with. No other game that I have ever played involved me so much. And the icing on the cake was that it’s set not too far from where I lived during my spell in the beautiful country. Certain shops and the layout reminds me so much of Yokosuka as I remember it. The second installment almost had me crying, but it definitely had me singing SEGA’s praises even more. I dunno, the fact it was released on Dreamcast for the UK and didn’t even meet US shores til the Xbox port made me feel connected to you even more. It’s almost as if you knew I needed it.

Years have passed since I completed the second part of Yu Suzuki’s masterpiece though, and we (as a community) have still not seen anything about a possible sequel. No fighter game, no resolved ‘missing chapter’ (on the boat between the first two games), just China/Korea-only Shenmue Online. Don’t get me wrong, we’re still looking forward to it, but with it’s recent no-show at the China Joy event - despite it being confirmed - we would greatly appreciate a confirmation, hint, or just any news on the series we have fallen in love with. You don’t even have to tell us when, all we want to know is that we will eventually get to finish Ryo’s epic quest.

Please, SEGA, Suzuki-san, anyone who sees this, put us out of our agonizing misery. We’ve spent too long in that dark, damp cave. We’d like a way out. We need an answer. Please…

Shenmue was way before its time. Enough people didn’t get the chance to get their hands on Shenmue and to really appreciate the game for its amazing story because not enough people got their hands on a SEGA Dreamcast. I think this day and age a game like Shenmue would be greatly appreciated because the story is so epic. Look at a game like Halo, why did Halo take off? This is just amazing, SEGA Europe. I doubt you have any association or say in whether Shenmue III is published and developed… But man, this game has been long overdue. Shenmue isn’t ahead of its time anymore. The fans know what they want, and your company can give it to them.

I hope you take into consideration how patient the fans have been with this franchise, and how devoted many people over at The Shenmue Dojo are to this amazing and under appreciated trilogy. It deserves an ending, whether you think so or not.

This page is filled with Shenmue III desire and passion, yet it seems the calls are being unanswered. The respect for your corporation and talent is dropping significantly from some of your recent endeavours. It seems that SEGA is hanging on by a thin thread. Even if that is not the case, it is the way it appears to the majority of gamers out there.

Sonic is dying, other ambitious projects are wavering, and people are starting to care less and less about what SEGA has to offer. I don’t see how this isn’t apparent to you guys over there. Especially since Shenmue III is being looked forward to moreso than another Sonic game. Sonic, the franchise that stamped success on SEGA’s forhead. Demand for other franchises in SEGA’s vault don’t even compare to that of Shenmue III. So why don’t you give the fans what they want, SEGA?

Is Virtua Fighter really all that you have left?

Shenmue III needs to be taken off of the back burner and be brought into the foreground. If plans for the 3rd and final installment are still around, please at least make a statement to appease the fans. Something official. Either kill it now, or breathe life into it. We really can’t take another 6 years of Ryo rotting away in a cave.

Wow! All those Shenmue comments? haha! I’m going to say something now.

Sega have done some good games in the last year and some real bad games. Most the Sega fanbase has grown up and you were taking the once 5 year old fans of your games and making them loyal fans throughout life by releasing games for grown ups like Shenmue.

I’d like to See Streets of Rage 4 and Shenmue 3, however Shenmue 3 needs a new game more than Streets of Rage. I’m not too bothered about most games but please give Shenmue a chance to sell, The dreamcast was NOT a solid console it was riddled with piracy, Who on earth would pay for a game if they could get it free? I’ve bought my Shenmue’s because I only recently got a dreamcast, Sega’s flaw was Shenmue is the ONLY good Dreamcast game. I got the 2nd one on the Xbox 360 It’s amazing guys. You need to continue it. The petition is only 1/4th of the fanbase. Believe me there is over 2 million Shenmue fans in the world. You add this up and you easily make your money and some providing you do NOT release it for the wrong console ie: PS3.

I’m passionate about this game. It is what real life gaming feels like. Please do not let down your loyalists that have been with you since age 5.

First of all, thank you for the Dreamcast and all great games you’ve given me Sega, this is the first time I ever write anything at your official place. When I played on my Dreamcast no games I bought seemed bad. Shenmue I&II and Skies of Arcadia are especially unforgetable for me. I’ll soon get a PS3, mostly for two reasons named Virtua Fighter 5 and Virtua Tennis 3. I can guarantee I’d go and buy any console that either had a Shenmue III or Skies of Arcadia 2. Every year is the same, before the big events I hope for an announcement about these titles but nothing comes. I just write here because I always want to support this issue.
Look forward to your future games and even if I won’t like them I’ll always remember my days with the Dreamcast. =)

I know Shenmue wasn’t the biggest financial success in the past, however, it’s been about 7 years since the first game, and we’ve been on a 5 year stall since Shenmue II was release…. The fans have grown, they’ve played, and their showing it… They want Shenmue III… and we’ll sure as hell let all other gamers know about this great game.

I’ve been a hardcore Sonic fan back in 1991 up to 2002. Every single Sonic Fan hated the show thats why people hating the new Sonic games. You bring in guns, cars and getting rid off Ryan Drummond was a bad mistake. And to bring in the 4 Kidz Va’s justed hit the nail. Shadow died at the end of Sonic Adventure 2, why did you bring him back? Why with guns and cars he can go Super you know!

Poor Sonic, Sega you really have to go back to basic. 2D graphics and gameplay in HD or Sonic Adventure 3 without Shadow and G.U.N.

and oh could you bring back the name Robotnik?

Sega instead of creating so many games about sonic why not create shenmue 3 and finish off the series and storyline in one more game that explains all that happens in Ryo’s quest for revenge. Seriously i know previous shenmue games may have not be extremely popular but that doesn’t matter, shenmue is still an amazing game equaled by no other and please work on shenmue 3 there are many fans anticipating it.

Good point Ali. Here’s a suggestion why don’t Sega put a poll up on their website asking which game they think deserves a sequel?

I’ll do it here the options are:
- Shenmue
- Virtua Cop
- Guardian Heroes
- Panzer Dragoon

Now these are some of Sega’s more poular games so lets see the results of this, basically people can post normally but at the end of their post just put down their vote, it will be interesting to see which name comes out on top.

Shadow has been dead since SA 2 so STH is not cannon.

Hudson is dead too so no Paxton. Hicks has got to been in the new ALIEN game. Michael Biehn in the new ALIEN game would make this the best ALIEN game to come out. Sega like many people above please get Biehn on the phone and ask him to use his likeness and voice.
