Yet More Retro Greatness On Virtual Console1992 - 1994 - a remarkable time. It saw the formation of the European Union as we know it today, the inauguration of Bill Clinton as the 42nd President of the United States and Jupiter get slapped by 21 pieces of passing comet. But, we’re sure you’ll agree, none of that compares to the momentous releases of Shining Force (1992), Shinobi III (1993) and Dynamite Headdy (1994). Each title was something of a gaming landmark at the time, so we’re hoping there’ll be a few people out there with a hankering to relive these particular good old days. Head over to our Virtual Console website now for more information and a slew of screenshots.

Nice retro stuff, but where is the Shenmue love? Put the first two up on the PSN, VC or XBL or something and get some interest back in the series.

Yes, release Shenmue 1 and 2 for xbl arcade or for virtual console wii, or for playstation 3 download.

Shenmue would have to be ported to the Wii, I doubt it’s suitable for emulation through Virtual Console. The Wii is an ideal home for Shenmue though, compared to either the PS3 and Xbox360 which cater to a mostly adolescent male audience who can’t get enough of first-person shooters (in my view, you understand). The Wii’s audience would be more appreciative.
I think Shenmue was ahead of its time… It deserves another chance at making an impact. For the love of God, Ryo and Shenhua have been in that blasted cave for six years! Let them at least glimpse daylight again.
