Recreate your favourite SEGA moment competitionI know you lot are a creative bunch so I thought I’d kick off a little competition; recreate your favourite SEGA moment using nothing but MS Paint (or other freeware paint program for Mac users). We’ll publish our favourite ones here and there’s a prize for the best one. Simply upload your pictures to somewhere like Flickr and include a link to your image in a response. We’ll then check your work and display it if we think it’s worthy or just funny. To give you an idea as to the sort of thing we’re after, I created my favourite moment; me beating someone at Virtua Fighter on the SEGA Saturn without looking at the screen.

Now that is quite an accomplishment in MS Paint Martin and I have not used it in ages since I got Photoshop! It reminds me of our Virtua Fighter matches we had last time in a way.
It is also nice to see you again around these blogs mate and I will certainly create something for you. I think I got too many moments but I will try to see which one is most reasonable to draw in paint.

Here’s my pic; the release of Nights on Saturn was really anticpated and exciting for me, it was my favourite title on the console so I made this logo/nights mash-ups!

here a scene resembling AKMW (Alex Kidd in the miracle World), done in MS Paint, and then patterns added using irfanview filters repeatedly. the MS Paint only version is also linked from the flickr. the time of creation wsa the year 2006.
personally i have missed MEGA DRIVE, SATURN, and the like- still in MASTER SYSTEM age!
if really asked to create something immediately- i would prefer pen&paper, or if really need be, i have a fan artwork in mind, using “the hero, SEGA 1985″, substituting the opponents as “the spammers”, and mixing them up in a sort of humorous way. but please…don’t ask me- i am not really a performing artist. if possible, take the lake scene. this game was major event of my young life at the age of 12 and 13.

To Ryan and to any frustrated sonic fan… it took me 10 years to discover it… but… you have to press up and down in order to move the cilinder lol
