We’ve about ten days left of the OutRun The Rest competition and things are tight at the top, F40might not be the quickest globally anymore but is still in the lead with his fantastic time of just a smidgen under four minutes fourteen seconds.   SEGASPENCE is on his heels though and its thoroughly possible for anyone eligible to snatch the lead or push their way into position for a runner-up goody bag, his addition knocking MrJakeway out of the top 6.

Adieshibbyin has moved up after taking well over a second of his time, Cronic x22 took of 2.5 seconds whilst Moopeh and BOND have improved too. However the award for “Most Improved” must go to shadow788 who knocked nearly 2 seconds off an already super-fast time to close the gap at the top.

Now I want to do a quick thing about the fastest cars on the track, obviously the F40 dominates the board, so I was surprised to learn from one reviewer that the balance of the game was all out of whack due to… the Ferrari Enzo. Yup the Enzo apparently was hideously overpowered and destroyed everything in its path………………….

Heck of a lot of Enzo’s in that list isn’t there(!)

However that got me thinking – always a bad thing – about who owned the fastest times from START to GOAL for each of the cars, so last night at I think 1am I went through the leaderboards with a pad and pen and hunted for the fastest times for each of the ten Ferraris.  So something else for you to aim for- to be the fastest driver of a certain car.

So there we go, the fastest car out there currently is the Dino 246 GTS – and the Enzo is seventh. ^_^
