A shame it doesn’t have the master system games as I love playing those a lot too. Still it looks very handy for a Sonic fix anywhere. Well the save feature has been there since Sonic Jam collection, unless it is about it being on a handheld, and not a console.
Will be interesting to see what the two screens will be used for…

The important question is, of course, can you play the combined Sonic 3 & Knuckles? I want my Hyper Sonic.

My most sincere thanks to you, SEGA!!
It’s been so long since I last played the original Sonic games that I’m going to enjoy this A LOT!
Sonic 3 & Knuckles was the best though. Now I’ll be able to play it while on the bus and not be afraid of powering off the console!!
Can’t wait to see the extras either!!
Thanks!! Keep us updated with any news on it!!

ER- Sonic The Hedgehog GENESIS is what it was called. My bad. Not like it was worth remembering though.

Are these ports, or are they being emulated? Is Backbone Entertainment behind this one?
Thanks.

Oh snap, is there multiplayer!!! Sonic and Knuckles never fought together against Robotnik!
I just started to play Sonic Mega Collection again. This is an extreme treat. Too bad Sonic CD isn’t being included. Please, please bring the over the DS also if this compilation sells well. Or even better, add it to the compilation!

Wow, this looks amazing, im glad that sega isn’t letting these great games become out-moded. I hope that sonic and knuckles and the others can be linked in this pack too
(incidently that would boost the number of games to seven if you do (Blue sphere, Sonic 2+knuckles and Sonic 3 + Knuckles). I cant wait

I just hope this classic collection has Sonic 3 & Knuckles in it, maybe as an unlockable like it was in Mega Collection, because well I’ve always wanted to be able to take that game with Me and play it even in the car I mean at least then even if I did go to My grandparents I wouldn’t have to worry about taking the T.V. from My family there and I could enjoy playing it on My DS.
The save feature also sounds nice, seeing as I always seem to have trouble in Final Zone in Sonic 1, at least it would mean I could keep trying until I beat the last boss and hopefully this won’t be anything like the GBA port of Sonic the Hedgehog 1, but seeing as this is on the DS which could handle a remake of Mario 64 with extra characters bonus stars and stuff like that with only some textures being lower in quality I’m hoping that’ll mean theres no way to screw up porting Genesis/Megadrive games like the Sonic ones, but you never know, so I’m going to be cautious about this and wait to see whether they screwed up with porting all the classic Sonic games or if they actually manage to pull it off. Hopefully I’m right about the pulling it off and wrong about the screwing it up.

Just don’t make it too expensive please Sega
I have a question though, why is Sonic with Knuckles during that boss fight? Is there a co-op mode?
