First DLC Swarms To Aliens vs PredatorThe first downloadable content for Aliens vs Predator will shortly be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms. Featuring 4 new maps for different multiplayer modes, previously only available in the Special Editions, this downloadable content will challenge all three species for the fight of their existence. 
Two new Multiplayer maps for six different online modes (Deathmatch, Predator Hunt, Infestation, Species Deathmatch, Mixed Species Deathmatch and Domination) : • Docks: The caustic alkali waters of BG-386 put an end to Weyland-Yutani’s planned shipping activities. Two new Survivor maps in which up to four Marines battle to stay alive against increasing swarms of Aliens: • Outpost: The site of the original Weyland-Yutani colony on BG-386 was abandoned, and soon reclaimed by the planet’s voracious jungle plant life. • Hive: Deep in the heart of the Freya’s Prospect Refinery lays the Xenomorph Hive. The “Swarm Map Pack” will be available on 18 March for €5.99/ £4.79/ 560 Microsoft Points.

Why would/should I pay for DLC maps.. If only 50% of the AVP3 market buy them (which is being favourable) then it will be almost impossible to use them, its practically impossible to find a game on the maps you shipped as standard so poor is the take up on the product…
This just seems a way to kill off the product before its even had time to create a community..

Consider making more gametypes for survival mode. It is no question that no new game can compete with Modern Warfare 2 and Halo as far as multiplayer deathmatch, etc. But what you have here Sega/Rebellion, is on of the first real stellar universes for Cooperative play.
Take AVP and up the ante by driving home the co-op experience with more modes of survival. Offer options for the player, be she a predator taking on hordes of marines, or aliens, with at least 3 other human controlled predators. Or consider 4 human controlled marines that have to take on predator after predator where each new “wave” of predator is harder, smarter, better equppied than the previous.
And hell, use the license you have, remake the best alien stories ever told by providing DLC of the most famous moments from FOX.
This game is good. But with the right decision on the DLC, this game could be great, and great games make money.

So Sega how are you going repay the PC community? The still is broken and alot needs to be fixed instead of fixing you come up with a DLC pack for 6euro!?!? for like 4maps it’s a shame you are doing this. This sort of stuff should be FREE! This is just wrong on so many levels!

How about you fix dedicated servers, make everything ranked, fix predator being overpowered, make alien autotransition work correct, and disable the freaking cental lock whenever you climb a surface. Seriously I love this game, but I will not pay 10$ for DLC when I already paid 50$ to be a beta tester. But I guess Rebellion lost the ability to read in favor of counting money.

First I wana stab at comment #1 lol, The maps were always going to be released on market place, so you if you didnt look that up your own fault, not just for the whiny people. Was announced befor even game release. just works out cheaper to but one of the special editions. As for any patches I doubt there will be any soon. This is just DLC.

Maps should be free for everyone, that’s one of the most important rules for a good multiplayergame. The addition of this mappack to the Collectors Edition was the first mistake and now the mistakes continue..
All this will achieve is to split the community even more. As mentioned, if only 50% of the playerbase buys this mappack, they will be kicked out of the game if one of the new maps are played. That’s not the way it should be, rethink your strategy and the game will live longer.
AvP is not a bad game, but the way the marketing is handled is just wrong and will only anger the majority of the playerbase who still have high standards.

Ok, so I know that the maps will be there, but will the multiplayer games like Deathmatch, Predator Hunt, Infestation, Species Deathmatch, Mixed Species Deathmatch and Domination be available to be played on even if you’re not on Xbox Live? Maybe not deathmatches, but at least infection or Predator Hunt.

How about you FIX ALL THE EXISTING PROBLEMS with the game FIRST and only after that is done then release DLC.
What is wrong with Rebellion/Sega? This is clearly just a quick money making strategy because the game is STILL BROKEN! Fix it first then think about other things, give us something that we paid for already.
Oh and release an update for us ps3 owners because waiting 15+ minutes for a “quick” match is ridiculous!!

The game versions across all platforms all sound broke, I hear people complaining about PC PS3 and Xbox, They really need to do something about it. I agree with flying fox about the alien transition, thats so inconsistent, but predator over powered I think not. Predator is weak as chips. I think they need to do something about the finishing move conga line everyone just lines up behind one another to death moves its so lame lol. Match making needs to be fixed aswell. Wells here is some ideas. Make ranked matches more like CoD. So when your in a lobby you can stay in a lobby. It should also pick who got best connection to be host not some tard with dial up (if not dedicated). and for the finishing move conga line, Have to where you can interrupt the death move. So if and Alien grabs marine, the marine only dies when the alien decapitates him or impales him, Not right at the start of the animation. So if a predator grabs the alien be for he impaled the marine should be set free and able to shoot em both. Will teach people to time there grabs a bit more.

Um, buy a DLC? Guys… What are you smoking? I got an idea, instead of the map packs… Release the sdk, let the modding community have at it. They are the life blood for gaming, your not cutting them out just cause they might come up with a better map or game-mode than yours are you? Still waiting on RANKED Dedicated servers BTW, you pretty much killed my multi-player experience with that laggy P2P system. Loose P2P altogether and go professional. For a game that started with its roots being PC you guys seem to forget where the fan base and the user base is, Crytek is doing a better job than you guys. You’ll be able to make a map for PC with CryEngine 3 sandbox and be able to put them directly into consoles. Why don’t you guys open up your eyes a little more and see where that’s going. And you wonder where all the criticism is coming from. Just raise the bar higher guys.. I bought AvP, SP is great, MP, well no comment atm… Btw if your lost in the dark about any of these suggestions, checkout moddb.com that should open the options a lot better. Remember to quote Harrigan from Predator 2 “The door swings both ways.”

Why I need to wait for over 10 min and no one found? It is because there are no one play the ranked match.
Why no one play it? It is because your Ranked Match searching is bad. It’s ready bad!
For my suggestion, your Ranked Match must provide a Room to let user check and go in

#17 since the dlc was already there in the hunter or surviver pack (don’t know exactly) all they are doing is releasing it to everyone it is not that they are wasting people to create it right now that they could use to fix some bugs

You I.D.’d the main problem there, but of course completely missed it and blamed the DLC instead. The main problem with this game is uptake. If another million people bought the game across all platforms, we’d be seeing more matches more often. And more maps wouldn’t be an issue. If anything, marketing is the issue here. I haven’t seen one ad for the thing anywhere.

o.0 More maps are what the community wants. It’s all people ask about in the games I play. Charging that much for 4 maps is, well, I’m not exactly calling it a bargain. But it is a definite + in the eyes of most.

I’d go with people. The ranked service finds people, I’m usually waiting ages for other people. That’s not the games fault.

I have no interest in what you’re selling.
Fix your game’s problems first.
Once you have fixed it, offer us some DLC that has at least 4 multiplayer maps.
I’m not even remotely interested in Survivor mode. I WILL NOT PAY YOU my hard earned money for something I don’t want.
4-8 brand new multiplayer maps that are NOT based off of anything in the campaign is what I want. It is also the only thing you’re going to get my money for.
I don’t see it happening so enjoy your FAIL. It’s going to last a long time.

Maps are cool, but please give us more content – even more multiplayer maps, and skins. Please give us female marine skins too. Oh and please do something with the matchmaking system. 80% of ranked matches I play end up with “The host has left the game.” I love the game otherwise. It’s fun and cool.

Make more ranked server….
Give us something, like the perks in CoD, instead of different charatermodels….like an airstrike for the marines….or facehauggers….or or or or…!! Think about it, you have a great licence, do something with it, and anyone will pay for extra content. But right now its just a game what i play in between Cod6 and bfbc2 because there is no incitement!

Pay for maps? Maybe if the damn basic install of the game itself worked. I can’t play without the whole thing locking up for 5-10 seconds all the time. What are they doing releasing maps when they need to fix a broken game!!

Dear developers of AvP:
Here is how to make your game better:
1) Release a map creator. Seriously, look at how well that’s worked for Valve.
2)Objective based gameplay. YOU CANNOT WIN IN A STRAIGHT FIGHT WITH MODERN WARFARE 2. Stop trying. Instead, do something different. A good first step would be to bring back a mode from AvP 2 (shocking, taking ideas from Monolith) called Extraction.
3) Fix wall transition. Seriously, just give me a toggle on/off button so I can actually steer this damn thing.

waht a shame first of all we should pay 6 euro for 4 maps ? kidding me ? then the predator is completly overpowered by counterattacking him he will not fall down on the ground like alien and marine and the predator has even long rage weapons very unfair to the alien plus the disc spam i am a really big avp fan but u have to play always like ping 120-400 on ranked match servers where are the deciated servers in rankmatches ?! srsly and i paid 50 euro for this to play A BETA VERSION men that a MESS DO SOMTHING REBELLION -.- (sorry for my bad english *sigh*)
