Sports Dave

Dave could have been a professional footballer had he been more skilful. Possibly the best English player never to have been capped by his country, he now throws himself into all sorts of sporting challenges in his role at SEGA.

There is no sport Dave won't watch, and he can regularly be seen attending major football, snooker, tennis, motor-sports and athletics events. Which is fairly handy when SEGA boasts a line-up including Football Manager, Football Manager Live, World Snooker Championship, Virtua Tennis, SEGA Rally and videogames based on the Beijing 2008 Olympic license.

As the current SEGA Virtua Tennis champion, it's clear he has the skills to back up his billing, and Dave will be bringing you regular updates on his sports and motoring escapades.

Originally from the small town of Stafford, Dave was blinded by the bright lights of London six years ago, and has been sailing on the good ship SEGA for the last 2 years. His lifelong ambition is to travel to Lincolnshire, where he's heard the fish and chips are excellent at this time of year.

Dave says his profile picture doesn't do him justice - he doesn't look anywhere near that strange in the flesh.

Biggest achievement to date: "Thrashing the Brand Marketing football team 10-1 - it was a massacre."

It was easy to enter the draw, too. All you had to do was tell us which city the SEGA headquarters are in. The […]

We had some problems, but we’re back on the blog

However, our wizard developer Chris did a lot of head-scratching and finally solved the problem. Apparently the official problem we had was ‘Far too complicated for your technically-challenged mind to understand Dave.’
We’d like to apologise for any inconvenience caused, and hope you enjoy the flood of blogs that we’ll have for you in the coming […]

Virtua Tennis 3 - The SEGA Cup 2007

The whole office has been going Virtua Tennis 3 crazy since the games launch in March, and we thought what better way to decide the maestro, than to hold the official SEGA Cup
It was quickly decided that the first annual SEGA Virtua Tennis Cup should be a straight knockout made up of competitors from both […]

The Day I Played A World Snooker Champion

The Day I Played A World Snooker Champion

He’s a legend of the table, he’s a six-time World Champion, and he’s quaking in his boots as we shake hands before our infamous grudge match of pool at Riley’s snooker club in Victoria. (The pictures don’t lie)

Alas, Steve had just too much in his locker for me, beating me on the black despite my […]
