Zoah Far… Zoah Good - The Winner Is AnnouncedI would like to say a big thank you to everyone that participated in the Sonic Chronicles: A Race To Name competition and to all those who voted for their favourite name. We received thousands of votes for this unique competition and there was some fantastic support taking place across many sites throughout Europe. We look forward to implementing ‘The Zoah’ into the game and congratulations to the winners, SEGA Nerds, especially since they beat an entry from Bioware! We will continue to keep you updated with the latest news on Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. Look out very soon for developments to the game’s product site as we reveal more features and screenshots. Michele – Sonic Chronicles SOE Brand Manager  IT’S THE ZOAH LONDON (18th March, 2008) – SEGA Europe Ltd. today confirmed that the recent competition, A Race To Name, where Sonic The Hedgehog fans could vote upon names for a new race selected by key Sonic fansites, and European gaming websites, finally has a winner. After thousands of votes were cast, it became clear that it was going to be a closely fought race between The Zoah, The Gravitus and The Dusk. Fans were hastily casting votes right up until the last minute but in the end only a handful of votes separated the contenders, and like all competitions it could only have one winner with The Zoah prevailing as the fan-favourite. Congratulations to www.seganerds.com who originally suggested The Zoah which will now be included in the forthcoming, hotly tipped, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhoodâ„¢ for the Nintendo DSâ„¢ system. The Zoah will be featured as a new enemy race for Sonic The Hedgehog to pit his wits against in 2008. Developed by industry admired story-telling specialists, BioWare, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood is an RPG adventure set to take the DS by storm this Autumn. For more information about BioWare please visit www.bioware.com

Now that I’ve got that out of the way, thanks so much guys for this opportunity to name a race in Sonic Chronicles.
Sega Nerds would like to thank God and our parents and orphans and… No wait, Just kidding! We would really like to thank SEGA and Bioware for giving Sega fans the opportunity to take part in this contest. Even if we had not won it was a great gift anyway and we hope to see more like this in the future!
Of course we also want to give a massive thanks to everyone who voted for ‘The Zoah’ your awesome people and we owe you all big time!
I’m sure Sonic Chronicles will be a fantastic game, (even more so now that Sega Nerds have contributed!!) A return to form for Sonic? We all hope so and no one could do it better then Bioware! (Shame about EA)
Nice work SEGA FANS your awesome!
- Ryan.

There were some really bad naes suggested. I chose “The Dusk”, but the Zoah sound just as good.

I voted for Psykore, but.. Zoah is very awesome, too. That would of been my second vote. =3
Congratulations to SEGA Nerds for their accomplishment, and to everyone else to took part of this piece of Sonic History.

Congrats to SEGA Nerds for getting their name (and their reference to Panzer Dragoon) into the game! I hope that SEGA allows more fan input for the series in the future…and I sure hope they’re takin’ notes during the game’s development process. XD

Thanks to everyone who voted Gravitus; the fact that the name did so well is a testament to the fanbase and that even a little guy like me can actually compete against sites in competitions like this - looks like it just didn’t make it over the last hurdle, eh?
I’m sure SEGA will continue to listen to their fans for many years to come and more wonderful ideas will be incorporated into games.

I voted “Guardian” because it sounded simple and better than the rest at first. But I’m starting like The Zoah better. Gravitus could have been good, too.
