Sonic Facebook Update – New Poll. First Poll.After the great interest in the console wars one on the main SEGA Facebook page I’m pleased to announce I’ve added the system to the Sonic Facebook page and set up the first one which is going on at the moment. Now I know that the character you’ll always want to play with 9 times out of 10 is Sonic and if we did a favourite character poll it would’ve been obvious the result. So instead of that we’ve taken Sonic out of the poll entirely and are asking you which character you most like to play as after Sonic… so not your favourite character neccessarily but the one you most enjoy playing as. The poll options are:
Obviously we’re asking people who vote other (for the likes of Blaze, Dr. Eggman, etc) to specifiy what but if you leave a good post on the Sonic wall talking about their choice then we might well reward you with a goodie bag of niceness! That’s not such an easy question, given how they’ve all had different play styles. Tails has been player two, raced Sonic and piloted a plane robot. Knuckles had his own slightly different paths in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, then went treasure hunting. Amy had her hammer, then became just a model swap for Sonic in Heroes.
Weighing it all up, I opt for Amy on a hoverboard.

It’s tough too choose from those 4. They are the main tier characters to me.
I don’t think Shadow is that popular, honestly. His 2005 shenanigans aren’t exactly the most well remembered.
Maybe he’ll do good as a Knight in the upcoming Sonic and the Black Knight title.
Anyway, I like both Amy, Knuckles and Tails… But I were to choose one of them, I think it would have to be Amy Rose.
Sonic needs a romantic interest. I know, I know… Yuji Naka-san once said something along the line “fat chance” about that pairing, but there’s always fan fiction.

do we vote for the poll on the wall if so then o but what botu the unknown good characters like scourge the hedgehog in the original comic boo series he beat up sonic and shadow without gettin a scratch and he’s kinda scared of them

I personally would rather make that poll with Sonic in it.
Sonic Universe without Sonic does not give any sense, but it doesnt mean, that I could not play a Sonic game, withou Sonic actualy being playable.
But, without Shadow being even present in the story, I would not be watching Sonic Universe anymore. He brought a story to this Universe, rules and image. Without Shadow, I would have to find completely another interest, than playing games.
Not neccessarily favourite character, just the one you most enjoy playing? Why to separate these things? I dont think that there even exist people, who would like to play another character then their favourite. When I play Sonic game, I want to have the feeling that I am actualy in action, that I am the hero, that all depends on me. I want to play the game because of its atmosphere. If I would like to play game without atmospere and story, I could do some sport instead.
If I have ever had a profile on facebook, I would definitely vote for Shadow.
