I think this game could be interesting. I'm really not sure if I'm for the whole sword deal but I enjoyed SatSR very much and I'm optimistic about this one. I think it will be as good or possibly better than the Wii version of Unleashed. I say this because Sega really isn't too strong with their multi-platform relases and I'm a bit nervous about how Unleashed is going to turn out on the Wii. Since Sonic and the Black Knight will be designed specifically for the Wii it will therefore be able to take full advantage of the systems capabilities without being too much for it to handle. However, I do hope history does not repeat itself and Unleashed is COMPLETED when it is relased so that both of these games can shine.

Hmm. SatSR was unique , with all the story-ish elements, and now there's going to be a whole series? I smell arguments! Plus the whole sword-thing, which I can see people linking to the Shadow-with-guns thing.

Plus, they tried to to epic storytelling with Sonic 06', and failed. Horribly. (Elise and Sonic?Yucky! ) Secret Rings did it better, and i'd rather see a SatSR-type than another 06. But a whole series? Not so much. It *might* be alright, but I can go out and get any number of games with good plots. I want Speed from a Sonic game. Somewhere in the past, he was the Fastest thing Alive...

Apples, our problem is that this is A) possibly not going to be speed-based but more combat-based instead, B) coming way too soon to possibly have been finished properly and C) not at all fitting with the SEGASonic universe. Yep, They could do this in the Archie comics, what with Rob 'o the Hedge and the whole multiple "zones" thing, and I think they did an Aladdin parody in the Fleetway comics. But I don't think this is going to work with Sonic.

And you never know what's going to happen with Sonic Team Japan.

Looks really cool. I'm all for having Sonic in every conceivable scenario, and if they're going to give him a sword, kudos to SEGA. Hopefully this game will be a bit more intense plot-wise than Secret Rings ("we have to rescue the lost pages! Oh no!"). I just hope they don't rush it. It makes me a little nervous that they're announcing TWO titles for the Wii within the same year. TAKE YOUR TIME SEGA! We want quality over quantity.

Apples and Oranges, I think their problem with it is that they want a Sonic game that feels like the Sonic games they loved to play a decade ago. They enjoyed just blazing through 2D levels like no tomorrow. It was short, simple, but loads of fun, like a roller-coaster. They aren't getting that anymore. Perhaps some of the different stuff they've been doing with Sonic recently makes enjoyable games, but the old-school Sonic fans feel like their series has been robbed for Sega's experiments. They wish Sega would make new series for all the spin-off ideas and give them a Sonic game that feels like Sonic, because they really miss that. Those 2D games were stuff they really liked. Do you kinda understand now?

Of course, they're still trying to appreciate the new games. I mean, they like other kinds of games, too: sword-fighting, adventure games, and all that. But they have other game series to give them those kinds of games while nothing but Sonic has had that fast 2D platforming. You know? Just saying, since I know some long-time Sonic fans.

Id like to attend but I do not think I can this year, though I really wish too.

My reasons is because I do not know good accomodations for night before in London, also got no one to go with me at this time and I do not know my way around London, plus I recently found out about it and thus a bit too late for me.

A reply for my questions is much apreciated.

I need to know a good place near the convention I can stay nearby and how much will it cost?

This question is for me to attend next year.

Thank you.

AAUK Replies: Will there be one next year? Possibly but obviously I can't confrm that right now when we've not even had the 2008 one. It will not be in the same location though as the demand is through the roof. We'll let you know should there be an SoS in the future.

Ah nice... So this storytelling thing is here to stay eh? I like it a lot, makes kids meet the classics through games and a known mascot. I don't see what these people's problem is. It's a spin off and a good one at that. As long as Sonic runs in a colourful setting, that's all fine with me.

I don't really care if they make Sonic with a sword, but if the game has good gameplay and camera angles I'll be happy with it.
After all, it is a Sonic game.
