Total War Demo: Prepare for Battle with the Empire!
Hi guys, are you prepared to fight on Land and at Sea in the Official Demo for Empire: Total War?
We’ve just announced a playable demo of Empire: Total War will be available on STEAM today at 16.00 GMT. Capturing just a short glimpse of the kind of epic engagements you’ll be playing from March the 3rd when the game is released, this demo will take you through the basics of land and naval command and then let you loose on two historic scenarios.
Playing as the British Empire, you’ll take on the American Army in the pivotal ‘Battle of Brandywine Creek’ and then the French Navy in the decisive ‘Battle of Lagos’.
You asked for the 18th Century, you’ve got Empire – let the Campaigns begin!
Empire: Total War will be released from the 3rd of March, exclusively for PC.

Hi all! I’m an old fan of Total War games, I’ve played all the titles of the saga, both in single and multiplayer.
The game coming out from the demo has a great potential, but it’d be better if units were slower moving, but manteining constant the fire rate, that’d make the game much more tactical and full of manouvers.
In sea battles wind should influence more the manouvering too, a ship going against wind doesn’t slow down enough or stops suddenly, and turns are many times of too much narrow angle and ships can make them even at 0 speed.
However I’ve been very impressioned by the demo, before trying it I was thinking of don’t buying the game, after Medieval 2 delusion; KEEP THIS WAY GUYS!!!

It should be a great game! But the portuguese players are very disaponited with this new game! If there is no Portugal, there is no fun for portuguese players!

this is the best game

Paulo, I’m sure there will be Portugal and if you’re not able to unlock the country by defeating them, you could probably unlock it manually in the game file
Can’t wait! My degree is going out the window because of this!

In reply to Normanni Lord Harald, I think a lot of his problems with the demo were due to streamlining the game and making it more fun to play. It would just be frustrating if ships could never sail into the wind or make tight turns, and i think the devs have made a good compromise between realism and fun. The reason that troops do not fire constantly is because they did not have the platoon drill training (I assume), and there would be more maneouvering on a battlefield without so many chokepoints caused by the river and woods. I was impressed by the details like the crew climbing the rigging and the pipers playing on the decks, and i liked the way the horse artillery and the dragoons worked. And it’s very rewarding seeing a chain-shot take down a mast or a grapeshot carve up the enemy rank. I just want to play with my own tailored armies! Good job Creative Assembly. The best TW yet!

wellwell all i have just tried out the demo and well after being an experianced player of all the total war saga i think that this exeeds expectations by far
the introduction of sea battles is a great achievement by the team and they have definatley got an ostear score of 98%
well worth £30 to but the full version and if you pre-order i believe you will have an extra unit (head hurlering hussars or something but a hussar is a cavalry unit anyway)
BUY THE GAME WHEN IT COMES OUT!
