hi i have one suggestion why not make total war go public to console like ps 3 ?
the hardware is great + multiplayer online is avaible + support usb wireless that mean we can still use keyboard and mouse in game. that right we need to buy it anyway but dont forget is rather cheaper than buy 2 gb vga or 4 gb ram or i7 core /lol.

hello, mike

i dont really understand why the totalwar gameserie is on the downfall. i really enjoy the fight and i can narby smell the powder (wich comes from our garden when my brother shoots coca cola cans) but it is a very good game, absolutly the multiplayer mode is the best since gta san andreas and i cannor wait when (if) the game in the totalwar series wich is based on the first or second world war. i should recommend more reklamation cause that should attract more teens to play the best strategy game in the world!! i hope that the elite unit packs prize should go down a bit because 10 € is too much but dont give up!!! the sun will shine some day to you guys ( the only thing that i didnt like was the wrongwriting of the city where i am living: Åbo wich is spellt wrong: Aabo, i can see that the programmers is from denmark but i hope that this thing could be corrected in the Napoleon total war game and in the coming games in the serie

hello, Mike

I Loved Rome Total war and medieval 2 total war (never got to play games before Rome), but the series of total war games came to a downfall on the release of Empire Total War. What I enjoyed was the intense melee fighting and only a few long range units. Guns really shot the fun out of this games. I will not purchase Napoleon Total War, but i will purchase future games if the quality of Total War games resurrects itself. A remake of Rome will surely bring back and attract new fans.

Rome, shogun, medeival, medeival II have all worked great on my computer, but when I got to napoleon and empire, well, not so much. It says works great on i7, but if i put i5 in, would it have the same results? thanks, taylor.

I know this is a little of topic but against my encouragement my parents went out and got a mac. Now i'm missing out on my favourite game because its only for windows. Please tell sega is going to make empire total war and/or napoleon for the mac.

If not is there anything i can do to be able to play on my mac.

I am in my mid forties and i enjoyed MTW1 so much. I was part of the old KoTR clan for a long time. We actually had to opportunity to have very intellectually stimulating games and discussions about the different factions and the history of it all. The main feature we loved was the good playability in multi player. The graphics were a bit blunt but the game was so fun to play and most of the players were really a great bunch of players who had something in common. They liked strategy, a little bit of history and the great playability of the game and very often you could have an intellectually stimulating conversation with them.

I personally think that high playability and strong, solid and stable multi player functionality will bring the funs back. Most of the original funs form Shagun and MTW, as far as i know, have never been too bothered about the resource hungry graphics. Many of us have a lot of work to do and all the responsibilities of the married man with kids but it is nice to spend a few hours in the week having fun and not waiting for a multi player bug or some other bug to spoil your precious free time.

I wish you guys did something to to win us all over again.

Mike, I am 49 years old, and own every Total War game made, (except NTW). I personally and professionally understand the extreme strain of product delivery. In reading your blog, I come away feeling like someone tried to apologize to me for charging me to clean my carpet, yet couldn't get the stain out. I truly feel the original idea of an 18th century strategy game of such depth was a tall order. The naval warfare is stunning, as well as other aspects, yet perfection has not been achieved. We can all blame lack of R&D, or delivery leadtimes all we want. The bottom line is does it do what you set your goals to do? I sincerely think, to regain the trust of us hardcore totalwar fans, you need to back up, and deliver something exceptional. I think the horse has left the barn with ETW. (and has clouded any expectation of NTW with it) I don't think it can be fixed..right now. Perhaps after you have retrained some new coders, or allowed new coders to develope thier skills. In the meanwhile, go back to your roots, get back to basics. As you see I know nothing about software developement, though there are hundreds of people that would gladly fix ETW for you, free of charge, if you would only give them the tools. You have the tools, that is clear, what is not, is why there remains the need to hold onto them. Move forward with a new title, a new project, and allow the modding community to do what they love, and they will give your partnership All of the credit. The ability to Mod your games has spawned thousands of hardcore fans. I for one, am extremely leary of paying for anymore product, when the one I already own is unfinished, unpolished, and mostly abandoned. After one year I am getting accustomed to Steam, so I will continue to buy your product, though I dislike it. Enough said on that subject. I accept your apology for having to deliver a product that you were not entirely happy with, as I am certain everyone did the best they could do in the time they had to do it. I look forward to a blockbuster of quality, of whatever time period, and to seeing your blog titled "we did it right this time".
