Craig Laycock

That guy off Rally Point!

Craig, you might know him as CraigTW, has been at CA since November, 2008. You'll have seen him in the credits for Empire, Napoleon, Shogun 2, Fall of the Samurai and Total War Battles.

As well as heading up all of Total War's online presence, and all of the content that brings, Craig's also one of the faces of the studio, so you may have seen him out and about on his travels around the world.

He's also the guy who brought you the Total War Wiki, and community show Rally Point, co-presented by able Lieutenant Will.

Craig got into games after a stint in marketing communications at a large insurer, which was LOADS OF FUN. He graduated with first class honours in Journalism from his native Northern lands. He's often shunned by his southern peers for speaking of these lands, and can be found and the centre of a fierce debate as to whether Preston is a cotton or coal town. Indisputably cotton. And it's a city.

Fact fans might like to know that Craig appeared on University Challenge way back in 2002. His team lost, but to the eventual semi-finalists – and Craig answered a question about Marmite correctly to mass applause. He’s still really proud of that moment.
